Origin Music & Media Academy was created to bridge the gap between traditional education and the creative and digital industries young people actually want to work in.
Many students disengage from mainstream education not because they lack ability, but because they struggle with conventional classroom environments. At Origin, We engage students into a professional industry environment. We use music, media, and technology as powerful tools to re-engage learners, build confidence, and develop real-world skills.
About the Founder
Origin Music & Media Academy was founded by Dylan Townsend, professionally known as CrossBreed — a music producer, recording artist, and studio owner based in Norfolk. With 15 years real industry experience he’s accumulated millions of streams worldwide and worked with high profile artists including - K Koke, Songer, Rita Ora, Maverick Sabre, Dappy, Devilman and MrTraumatik to name a few.
Dylan has extensive experience working with young people in care and alternative education settings, delivering creative programmes designed to improve engagement, confidence, and progression. His approach combines real-world industry experience with structured education, safeguarding awareness, and trauma-informed practice.
