Origin Music & Media Academy delivers structured creative education programmes designed to support engagement, skill development, and progression for young people aged approximately 10–18.

Programmes are delivered through tiered learning pathways and can be tailored to individual education plans, wellbeing objectives, and organisational needs.

Structured Learning Pathways

Focus: Introduction, confidence-building, creative exploration, basic technical skills.

Students are introduced to the fundamentals of music and media creation within a professional studio environment. This level focuses on building confidence, creativity, and basic technical understanding.

Core areas covered:

  • Introduction to music production and recording

  • Basic use of digital audio workstations (DAWs)

  • Songwriting and creative expression

  • Introduction to podcast creation and audio storytelling

  • Basic microphone techniques and studio etiquette

  • Introduction to content creation and social media basics

  • Building confidence, communication, and teamwork

Outcomes:

  • Basic understanding of music and media workflows

  • First creative projects and recordings

Level 1 – Foundations in Music & Media

Level 2 – Skill Development & Creative Application

Focus: Skill-building, project work, collaboration, and applied learning.

Students develop their technical skills and begin applying them through structured creative projects. This level introduces deeper production techniques, media formats, and real-world creative processes.

  • Intermediate music production and recording techniques

  • Arrangement, editing, and mixing fundamentals

  • Podcast production, editing, and publishing basics

  • Content creation for music and media platforms

  • Introduction to artist development and branding

  • Social media strategy and digital presence

Level 3 – Advanced Practice & Progression

Focus: Professional practice, portfolio development, and progression planning.

Students refine their skills to a higher standard and focus on producing polished work. This level introduces industry awareness, creative business principles, and preparation for further education or creative pathways.
